About these music tools

Musicians spend a lot of time doing two unglamorous things: getting in tune and staying in time. Both are solved by ear in seconds, but both are much easier with a visual reference. These tools give you that reference in a browser tab — no tuner pedal, no metronome app, no sign-up.

Because everything is computed locally with the Web Audio API, they also work offline once the page has loaded, and they never ask you to upload a recording.

Are these music tools free?
Yes. Every tool here is free and needs no account. They are supported by advertising, which is why you may see an ad on the page.
Do they work on a phone?
Yes. All tools are responsive and work in mobile Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Microphone-based tools need permission and a secure (https) page, both of which are handled by your browser.
Is my audio sent to a server?
No. Any listening a tool does happens in your browser through the Web Audio API. Audio is analysed in memory and discarded; there is no recording and no upload.
